Drop-Off & Pickup Spots
Your Terminal, Door to Door
Port Everglades has eight cruise terminals, numbered 2, 4, 18, 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29. They are spread across a large working port, so the terminal number matters. It is printed on your cruise documents, and we confirm it before your pickup because assignments can change.
Sailing day. Your chauffeur pulls up at the passenger drop-off in front of your terminal, unloads your bags, and hands them to the porters at the curb.
Return day. Your chauffeur waits in the ground transportation area outside your terminal and comes to the exit doors when you message that you have your bags. You receive the vehicle description and your chauffeur's mobile number in advance.
Port Procedure
Getting Through the Gate
Three entrances. The port is entered from I-595 at Eller Drive, from State Road 84 at Spangler Boulevard, or from SE 17th Street at Eisenhower Boulevard. The Eller Drive entrance is open around the clock. Your chauffeur chooses the gate closest to your terminal.
Security checkpoint. Every entrance has one. Each adult in the vehicle is asked for a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, and you may be asked for your cruise documents. Keep both in hand, not in the luggage.
At the terminal. Porters take your tagged bags at the curb. You keep your carry-on and travel documents and walk inside to check in.
Timing
When to Leave, When to Fly
Sailing day. Aim to arrive inside the boarding window on your cruise line's documents. We time your pickup to that window. Late morning and early afternoon are the busiest hours at the gates, so we allow extra time then.
Return day. Ships usually dock early in the morning and passengers leave in groups over a few hours. If you are flying home the same day, a flight after midday gives you a comfortable margin. Cruise pickups include 30 minutes of complimentary wait time.
